RevOZ Capital Recently Closed OZ Deal in Redmond-Bend, OR
RevOZ has teamed up with Alpha Wave Investors, LLC to put together an Opportunity Zone deal that consists of a holistic hospitality hotel under the emerging Soul Community Planet brand. The property itself is a hotel located in the growing market of Redmond, OR. The goal of our partnership under the Soul Community Planet brand is to make the world a better place by serving those who value personal wellness, social good and the environment. RevOZ and Alpha Wave Investors, LLC via Soul Community Planet is set to address a committed, growing and clearly underserved demand base in the Redmond, OR area.
The Soul Community Planet hotel merges environment friendly and socially responsible practices with healthy based accommodations—nutritious plant-based food choices are provided to fit the needs and wants of all customers, venues for socializing, collaborating, and working amongst people of all backgrounds, and a center for superior fitness experiences. The Soul Community Planet hotel is the only select service hotel centered on these values in a growing market that is failing to meet these needs. By creating a hotel with these values in mind, the Soul Community Planet hotel stands to generate both higher RevPAR and a better flow-through than branded hotels in this market.
In addition to targeting the growing wellness and environment friendly focused needs of customers, the Soul Community Planet hotel’s location in the Redmond-Bend area could not be better positioned to meet the needs of its customer base. The Redmond-Bend area is now known as one of the fastest growing cities in the U.S. May 27, 2017 – “Bend Among Fastest Growing Cities”. The year-round population of the Redmond-Bend Metropolitan Statistical Area is approximately 200,000 and attracts around three million visitors a year. Additionally, the Soul Community Planet hotel is located in the Redmond-Bend area such that it is within thirty minutes of several world class golf resorts, fishing lakes and rivers, miles and miles of pristine hiking and biking trails, exceptional ski mountains, and one of the world’s top rock-climbing destinations.
The renovations are projected to occur over a ten-month period, with the Soul Community Planet hotel coming back on line in phases beginning Q1 of 2020. The finished product would be comprised of a total of 49 guest rooms, and approximately 13,000 square feet of street front retail, restaurant, lobby co-working and bar space. Additionally, a new rooftop social catering venue will be implemented and promises to be a defining establishment in the downtown Redmond area.
